WHAT IS SlitPot?

| Have You Ever Checked Root of Your Plants? |

If you have not seen how your plants form root structures, we would suggest
you taking out plants from pot and look. Moreover, we recommend you to
cut or break substrate to check the middle of compost like this grower
on photos is doing. If you see many roots as well as you see at the surface
of substrate, your plants are growing at comfortable condition. But, if
not, your plants feel stress from the production; plants might not grow
healthier and look nicer. If you cannot find much root in the center of
the substrate, it means the condition of substrate in production is not
so good. In addition, center part of substrate won't be used by plant root
at all; it will cause the waste of substrate, fertilizers. Then, it will
end up with many production losses and uneven grown plants.

| Conifers on SlitPot |

Conifer on left has been in same pot without adding or changing soil at
least 4 or 5 years since we got this conifer for our office. You can see
this conifer still have good root structure even if we never transplanted
to larger pot.
Conifer on right is what we got from homecenter in Japan. This conifer
also has good root structure even if this grower used poor quality compost.
With SlitPot, plants are able to maintain health with avoiding aging.
Aging for plant affects to plants to make plant weaker against disease
or sudden climate/environmental change. Also, aged plants grow slower than
young plants.
By any reason, sometimes perennial growers should consider whether or
not they do clearance sale or carry-over for next season. If your plants
are grown in SlitPot, you can go carry-over without aging for plants :
plants keeps its quality and its volume for longer time than plants in
other plastic pots.
